Mr. Mats Isaksson is currently a board member of the Swedish Corporate Governance Board. He was previously the head of the Corporate Governance and Corporate Finance Division at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), where his responsibilities included corporate governance, capital markets and state-owned enterprises. He has written extensively on corporate governance, equity markets and corporate bonds. Recent reports include Corporate Bond Market Trends, Emerging Risks and Monetary Policy, the OECD Equity Market Review of Asia and a report on the Changing Business Models of Stock Exchanges and Stock Market Fragmentation. Other works include Who Cares? Corporate Governance in Today’s Capital Markets and Institutional Investors as Owners – Who They Are and What They Do. He led the 2020 capital market reviews of Italy and Portugal financed by the European Commission. Isaksson serves on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia University and is Senior Visiting Fellow at the Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law. He is a founding Director of the Swedish Corporate Governance Forum. Isaksson is also a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Corporate Governance Network.
