Born and raised in sunny California, Lupita moved across the country to attend NYU in 2015. As an undergrad, Lupita was inspired by past mentors and earned a position as a First-Generation College Mentor to incoming undergraduate students. In 2019, Lupita graduated as a University Honors Scholar from NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences with a BA in English and Creative Writing and a minor in Politics. While attending NYU’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Lupita specialized in US and Mexico border relations and their effects on Immigrant and later-generation families. As part of her research, Lupita wrote and edited her own novella, (which has potential for a trilogy in the YA genre). In 2022, Lupita completed an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies.
