Ellen Odoner

Advisory Board

Ellen Odoner is the co-founder of Allerhand & Odoner LLP. Ms. Odoner previously served as the founder and co-head of the Public Company Advisory Group of Weil, Gotshal and Manges LLP. She retired from Weil, Gotshal at the end of 2020 after more than 40 years of practice.

Ms. Odoner has represented public companies, boards of directors, audit committees and special committees of independent directors in complex governance, disclosure and compliance matters and domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions. She has also represented the governance bodies of significant not-for-profit institutions.

Ms. Odoner was included in the NACD Directorship 100 (2018-2020) and is an elected Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel. She served as chief of staff to the Hon. Harvey Goldschmid, co-chair of the Financial Crisis Advisory Group established to advise the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Accounting Standards Board on the standard-setting implications of the global financial crisis.

In addition to the Advisory Board of the Millstein Center, Ms. Odoner currently serves on the executive committee of the board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. She received a B.A, magna cum laude, from Yale College in 1973 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1977.
